Thank you to all the Riders, Parents & Guests that attended the 2008 New Mexico State ABA BMX State Championship at Duke City BMX! This year's Championship was a blast with a solid turnout and many visiting riders from out of state. Congratulations to all the NM State Champion titles & number plate recipients.
The PRO-AM was quite an event to watch during Sundays final with many rounds of elimination and super hot racing action!
Big thanks to the Ben Roberts and the Albuquerque/Santa Fe Social Flickr Group for comming out and photographing this weekend, cannot wait to see what kind of shots they were able to get!
If you did not get a chance to purchase your 2008 State Championship T-Shirt the track still has a few and will have them available for sale. The can be picked up at the registration office during practice and reces. These shirts are really great! So come on down & get ya one!
As a memorial for recent the loss of rider "Captain" Matt Juneau, Duke City BMX had a moment of silence with a special gate dropping as the 505 Racing Team stood in the gate. Riders at Duke City BMX that competed today wore decals in memory of Matt.
Matt's team 505 Racing entered for the BMX team points competition as Team "Captain" Matt Juneau in his honor. By the end of the day Team "Captain" Matt Juneau had earned the 1st place BMX Team trophy for this years NM State Championship which was given to Matt's Family.
