Friday 25th post race practice & show


Riders & Parents this Friday the 26th we will have an additional post race practice. Plan to get in some extra track time after the regular trophy race. Following the post race practice the back lot will be open for Fireworks Viewing so bring those lawn chairs!

Local ABA BMX AA Pro Rider and legend Thomas Fernandez rolled out his new website this week too! Duke City Bikes Launches Website


This week Duke City Bikes launched it's website at www.dukecitybikes.com The onsite shop is operated by John Roberts. John brings a valuable service to the track by being open for business the same time the track is. Duke City Bikes offers parts, service, special ordering, complete ready to race bikes, gear and custom building of bikes. We are proud to have John & his team! New parking at Duke City BMX

Hello Riders & Parents! Our membership drive is doing well this month and as a result we have elected to open up the auxillary parking just west of the track. To access this additional parking enter the main parking lot as usual then drive past the adminstration building there is a side access road with a gate that will be open. Thank you!

08 New Mexico Games huge success at Duke City BMX


Thank you to all the riders & parents that participated in the 08 New Mexico Games Race! We had a wonderful turnout for this event, the Albuquerque Journal, Channel 4 and Channel 7 successfully helped get the word out in central New Mexico. We thank everyone that was involved in helping make the 1st New Mexico Games Race at Duke City such a great time! It was very nice to see all the new and first time riders trying out the track.
We invite anyone that would like to try the great sport of BMX Racing the opportunity to try! Just come on out to the track!
See you all next year at the 09 NM Games!

More Expert Riders = More Mudbaths!

Another batch of riders have successfully reached the ABA BMX Expert class. In line with the long standing Duke City BMX tradition we tossed them in the mud! Conratulations to all the new Expert riders!

Duke City BMX to host New Mexico Games Race Saturday July 12th

Register now for the First NM Games BMX Race! Racing Starts at 11:00am Saturday!


On Saturday July 12th Duke City BMX will be hosting the first annual NM State Games BMX Race.
Each pre registered participant will receive a NM State Games BMX shirt complete with special BMX Roadrunner logo and have the opportunity to earn a medal. Participants are then eligble to compete in the State Games of the West Race to be held in Colorado Springs CO.

The New Mexico Games is a part of the State Games of America


The State Games concept was developed in New York in 1978 with the Empire State Games. In 2007, more than 400,000 athletes competed in State Games nationwide. State Games feature various sports of the Olympic and Pan American Games as well as sports that have regional popularity within each state.

The sports for the State Games of the West include: 5K Run/Walk, Archery (3D), Archery (Target), Badminton, Basketball, Billiards, BMX Racing, Bowling, Cycling, Diving, Field Hockey, Figure Skating, Flag Football, Golf, Gymnastics, InLine Hockey, Judo, Karate, Powerlifting, Racquetball, Rock Climbing, Shooting, Soccer, Softball (Slow Pitch), Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track & Field, Triathlon, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wrestling.


The State Games of the West is open to atheltes from the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Participants are eligible by competing in their local State Games in 2008 regardless of their placement. Leading up to The inaugural State Games of the West will be held July 24-27 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and will feature 31 sports. This event will be combined with Colorado's Rocky Mountain State Games and will serve as a qualifier for the 2009 State Games of America.

Duke City BMX wins trophy at Rio Rancho 4th of July Parade!


Thanks to all you riders & parents that participated in the Annual City of Rio Rancho 4th of July Parade.

Duke City BMX won a trophy for the great showing we had! Thanks to all the riders and teams that participated Special thanks to Shaun Osborne & Kevin Arridondo for helping us with those fancy 4x4 trucks and thanks to the Smith family for the cool lead vehicle and tunes!

Duke City NMX is planning to participate in the State Fair parade with even more participation! Look for more info soon at the track and on this site.
