The ABA BMX site has provided updated information regarding the 08 Grands Track. Master Track Builder Billy Allen whom also built the Duke City BMX track is up to his magic again!

2008 has been one of the most remarkable years in the history of the sport of BMX and this year`s ABA Grand Nationals in Tulsa, OK will be no exception. Track construction is well underway and the ABA has brought in more than 6,200+ cubic yards of dirt to sculpt the most innovative, challenging and exciting Grands track ever! Here are just a few of the highlights:

- 6200+ Cubic yards of dirt. (More than 54 0 dump truck loads)

- 11` tall starting hill

- 3 split straights including an Amateur decision maker

- 2 AA Pro Straight Aways and a Berm Jump

- 1140` Amateur Side Legnth

- 1250` AA Pro Side Length

Duke City BMX schedule and the 08 ABA BMX Grand Nationals

Many Duke City BMX families will be heading east next week to Tulsa Oklahoma to praticipate in the 2008 ABA BMX Grand Nationals the largest ABA race of the year and some to participate in the Race of Champions.

Some families take part in a Duke City BMX Thanksgiving Potluck dinner in Tulsa during practice day. If you would like to participate please sign up on the Thanksgiving food list at the track sign up window. Then bring your items to the Duke City BMX camp in the RV park at Expo Square. This year the pot luck Thanksgiving dinner for particpating families will be served at 2pm. Please ask questions if you have any.

Riders & Parents mark your calendars as Duke City BMX will be closed on Wednesday Nov.26th, Friday 28th & Sunday 30th. Resuming with regular Wednesday practice on Dec.3rd.

Most of you have noticed around the track that many riders are wearing the new Long Sleeve Duke City BMX shirts. If you would like to own one they are now on sale in the registration office. Most sizes are only 20.00 while supplies last.These shirts are a great way to let everyone know about your favorite BMX track, many riders will be sportin' these babies at the up comming 2008 ABA BMX Grand Nationals in Tulsa Oklahoma!
