Duke City BMX at the Supernationals Car Show huge success!

Duke City BMX attended the Supernationals Car show at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds this past weekend Fri, Sat & Sun, January 29th-31st. Volunteers offered information about BMX racing and our world class facility to raise awareness in the community. Many booth visitors had tons of stories about how they "use to" race in the old days and we wanted to let them know that our sport is still alive and even stronger than ever!

This is the 2nd year Duke City BMX has participated in the Supernational Car Show the largest car show of it's kind in New Mexico with attendance,  Promotor Reggie Tibbits states that "Duke City BMX ads a huge value to the show for families as the Supernationals Car Show is for families" If you are at the show stop by the Duke City BMX Booth and say hello!

We welcome all the new rider that have made it out the the track since seeing us at the Supernationals Show. For all of you that have not yet made it out to the track we look forward to seeing you at the track soon!

Time to Change your Race Number, District Points Finalized by the ABA

Attention Parents & Riders,

It is time to update your riders numbers with the 2010 plate number. The ABA website has the number earned by rider based on the finish of the 2009 season. That placement identifies the number your rider will use during the 2010 season. Please be prepared to begin using the new number effective this Sunday the 31st at Duke City BMX.

Look for the following message from the ABA that states:

"POINTS ARE FINAL - THESE ARE YOUR DISTRICT NUMBERS FOR 2010"

Bike Swap tomorrow at Duke City BMX During This Sunday's Races!

Attention Riders, Parents and Fans,

Tomorrow at the track there will be a bike swap so bring your retired bikes, parts and gear to sell!

Gates open at 12pm for practice till 1pm the Races starting shortly after.

Tomorrow am there is also a Board of Directors Meeting that begins at 9:00am. The Board of Director meetings are open to all Duke City BMX Members, please arrive on time if you plan to attend as the agenda will be begin promtly at 9am.

Duke City BMX Riders Make ESPN Action Sports Website

As we all know BMX is gaining huge coverage world wide and currently the sport has caught the attention of ESPN.

It has been reported that ABA BMX #1 Ladies Pro Domonique Daniels will grace the next print cover of ESPN Action Sports.

Duke City BMX riders hit the Silver Dollar Nationals!

On the same weekend as our season opener some of the Duke City BMX Riders made the trip to Reno Nevada for the ABA Silver Dollar Nationals. Our own Vet Pro Champion Kenth Fallen rocked his class starting out the 2010 season with a strong win. Congrats to all the riders that were able to make the trip the the first national race of the season and represent New Mexico.

Back home at Duke City BMX the opening day of racing this past Sunday was a great success with a solid turnout and plenty of new members!

Opening Day at Duke City BMX this Sunday the 10th!

The opening day for the 2010 Duke City BMX race season is this Sunday the 10th!

Gates and practice open at 12:00pm, pre race practice lasts till 1:00 with racing to begin shortly after.

Hope to see everyone at the track!

Last night at the first practice of the season we had a record turn out! We even had a whole slew of new riders come to the track and register!

This season is going to be GREAT!

Duke City BMX 2010 Season Begins this Wednesday January 6th!

2010 Season is here!

That's right! The 2010 BMX Racing Season is here begining with Wednesday practice this week on the 6th of January! So dust off that bike, do some stretching and get to DUKE CITY BMX!

We will be operating on the following Winter Race Schedule till March.

Wednesday's:
ABA Gate Practice 6:00 pm to 7:30pm
Full Gear! - $3.00
*Please bring your ABA Membership Card or Receipt. Membership ID will be verified for Riders/Racers.

Fridays:
*no Friday races During Winter Schedule

Sundays:
Trophy/Saver Stamp Race - $10.00
Race Sign ups 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Races Start shorty after
* subject to change for special events, race schedule calendars can be picked up at the sign up window. ABA points are awarded for main event finalist.

Attention Returning Riders.....remember your 2010 plate number may have changed from last year please check out your last issue of the BMXR magazine you receive with your membership for your 2010 number.

Come to the track to learn about our Free loaner bike & gear program. We offer a 1 day free starter membership too! Boys & Girls! If you can ride a bike unassisted you should come check this out! Ages from 3 years to over 50! Come join over 300 local riders who love to ride, practice and race!
