Membership Info

Duke City BMX is sanctioned by the American Bicycle Association (ABA) Riders compete individually  for points withing classes defined by age and skill level.

The ABA has over 280 tracks in North America & Canada. By becoming a full ABA member you get the following.
* 12 month authorization to race at any ABA track for points

* A subscription to the BMX'r publication that posts monthly points standings & current news on the sport
   & events.

* Insurance that works as secondary insurance for any injury at a ABA event


How to get started:
Come to Duke City BMX on any track day and register, you will receive a 1 day free membership that will allow you to try our sport for the day. Riders under 18 please bring a parent or guardian to fill out paperwork.
What if I do not own a BMX Race Bike?
No problem, Duke City BMX has the countries largest free loaner bike & helmet program where new riders can check out bikes & helmets for up to 5 times free! After that it is just 5 dollars per day.

Can I bring my bike from home?
Sure! Just make sure you remove the kickstand, pegs or any other object that could injure you or another rider in the event there is a crash. If you have questions about your bike just ask for assistance at the registration window and we will have on of our volunteers take a look at your bike first.

What are the age groups?
Boy & Girl riders start as young the 5 an under class, as long as they can ride a bike without assistance and or training wheels. Older riders still enjoy our sport competing in the 50+ category. There are many age groups between the 5 and under & 50+ so we have a spot for you.

What class would I race in?
New riders start in Novice class on 20" bikes or in Cruiser class if they ride a 24" wheeled bike.

Can I use my Mountain Bike?
Yes! Duke City BMX is a mountain bike friendly track.
